Liberia cocaine case exposes major node in Africa’s drug networks

Liberia President Joseph Boakai has fired senior airport, police and intelligence officials as the country’s biggest-ever cocaine investigation widens from foreign traffickers to alleged state complicity, adding to concerns the continent’s Atlantic coast is becoming an increasingly important corridor for cocaine bound for Europe.
