Why Uganda and Africa must excel in space science

For millennia, Africa has not been a spectator to the heavens but an original interpreter of them. The celestial sphere above the Sahara, the equatorial belt, the Great Lakes region and the southern skies were a scientific manuscript navigated by African civilisations long before modern astronomy and space science.
